Getting Started: Building Your Member Profile – Support Center

Ready to start building your member profile with our Resume Builder? A complete profile ensures your applications for jobs and training opportunities make the strongest impact.

To get started, navigate to the Profile tab in the app. You'll find several sections you can update to keep your information accurate and comprehensive.

Personal Details

Before moving on to other sections, start by adding personal details. This is the foundation of your profile and ensures employers have accurate information about you.

Navigate to the pencil editor to update the header of your profile.
From here, you can update your Location, Phone Number, Primary Trade, Primary Industry, Cover Image, Profile Image (shown below).
Ensure that all of this information is accurate and filled out to the best of your abilities. This will help employers as they qualify you for different positions!

Experience

Below your personal details, you will see two sections: Training and Education and Experience. These sections allow you to highlight your educational background and professional experience. Including this information is essential because it helps employers understand your interests and see where you've developed your skills—both in the classroom and through hands-on work.

Skills

Scroll to the bottom of your profile to access the Skills Picker. Start by selecting the trade path that best matches your experience and goals. Then, add the skills you've gained from previous roles and training. Be sure to add all relevant skills. This helps match you with opportunities that align with your strengths.

Certifications

Add all relevant industry credentials, certifications, and licenses that you've earned. Be sure to include expiration dates to keep your profile accurate and up to date!

Add Recommendation Stamps

Proud of a key strength or skill? Navigate to Recommendation Stamps and request an endorsement from a previous employer, instructor, teacher, or colleague. Once they complete the endorsement form via email, your recommendation stamp will appear on your profile!
