Getting Started: Building your Member Profile – App Support Center

Ready to start building your member profile with our Resume Builder? Let's ensure that you have all relevant information on your profile, in order to ensure that your applications to job and training opportunities make the most impact.

To get started, navigate to the 'Profile' tab in the app. From here, there are a few areas where you can update your profile, noted below:

Personal Details:

Navigate to the pencil editor to update the header of your profile
From here, you can update your Location, Phone Number, Primary Trade, Primary Industry, Cover Image, Profile Image (shown below)
Ensure that all of this information is accurate and filled out to the best of your abilities. This will help employers as they qualify you for different positions!

Experience:

Below your personal details, you will see two sections - Training or Education and Experience. In these sections you can add relevant educational experience and professional experiences to your profile. These sections are important to help employers understand your interests, and where you've developed your skills (in the classroom and in hands on scenarios)!

Skills:

Navigate to the bottom of your profile to the app's Skills Picker. Enter the trade path that aligns with your experience and ambitions. From there, enter the skills that you have obtained from your previous experience. Add all relevant skills to your profile. These skills will help match you with the right opportunities for you!

Certifications:

Add all relevant industry certifications and licenses that you've acquired. Include expiration dates to make sure your profile is up to date!

Add Recommendation Stamps:

Particularly proud of one of your key attributes as an employee? Navigate to Recommendation Stamps and request that one of your previous employers, instructors, teachers, colleagues, etc. endorse you for a skill that you have! Once they complete the endorsement form over email, your recommendation stamp will appear on your profile!
