There are several differences between a regular member of the app, an organization member, and an organization admin/owner.
- A member - a member is a part of the network, but does not belong to an organization
- An organization member - is a member of an organization within the network (student or employee of that organization). They may receive messaging and notifications from that organization that can only be seen/accessed by organization members.
- Organization owners/admins have the same permissions as organization members, as well as additional permissions, noted below:
Access to their Organization Profile
Org admins/owners have the ability to toggle to their organization profile (see below) and update the information on their organization profile. This profile is how the org is marketed and represented to our network of skilled trades workers.
Admins/owners may update the information housed on their organization's profile at any time! Non-admin members do not have the ability to toggle to organization account and they cannot update the organization profile.
Ability to Add Members to an Organization
By toggling to the organization profile, org admins/owners have the ability to invite other admins to the organization, as well as members to join their organization. Org admins/owners control who is part of their organization on the platform and they also have the ability to remove members.
Ability to Post Opportunities and View/Manage Applicants
Org admins/owners are the only users who have the ability to post and manage job or training opportunities on behalf of an organization. They are also the only users who can see applicants for these opportunities. Finally, admins and owners can move applicants through the interview stages for jobs/trainings!
Ability to message on Behalf of an Organization
When signed into the organization profile, admins/owners can message on behalf of the organization. This can take the shape of messages to members outside of their organization, or other organizations. They also have the ability to initiate org wide messaging with all members of their organization!
